Will the Central Government Come Forward to Convene NAC meeting?
Though we are about to bid a farewell to 6th Pay Commission, there can never be a doubt that the Central Government employees will always be indebted to the 6th Pay Commission for matters like Children Education Allowance and Child Care Leave and MACP
However, several issues have been resolved due to the 6th CPC like promoting on the basis of Grade Pay in MACP and many of them did not support the shift from 1900 Grade Pay to 2000 Grade Pay after ten years of service (LDC and UDC).
Many cases including the Entry Pay are in the long waiting list expecting court consideration. The pension problems of those who retired in the period of 1/1/2006 and 1/9/2008 are still lying unresolved. A lot of problems have stemmed from the 6th Pay Commission in Postal, Railway and Defence departments.
NAC (National Anomaly Committee) was formed by the Central Government with the intent of getting rid of such problems. Only a handful of problems have been answered by the NAC.
We do not know the condition of these problems when the 7th CPC comes in to force from 1/1/2016. Even when all the problems could not be solved most of the issues can be worked out only by continuously interacting with the NAC.
It is commonly said that deferred justice and denied justice. Hence, in the period of two months when the 6th CPC is still in force, the Central Government has to convene a NAC meeting and discuss the issues and try to find suitable solutions. Efforts can make the impossible possible!
